What's up, Doc?

I am glad this week is wrapped-up. Work has been extremely busy, I have more health issues and there is no end in sight.

Monday, i took off from work to take Ellen to see the surgeon. She will be going into surgery September 11th to have the reversal done on her colostomy. Yeah, 9/11 of all days . . .

Tuesday was the day I had to officially run the Security Team meeting. The person I co-chair with was on vacation for a week and then went immediately to training when he came back. I am not a manager type, so this was a huge challenge for me. I managed to pull it off without a hitch. I arranged the conference room, set the conference call with those too far away to attend, configured the electronic white board and put together an agenda. It felt good to get through that mess.

Wednesday, I had to finish configuring a system (server and three workstations) to be delivered to Mojave for deployment. I have the names of the sysadmins that will be taking it over, but I will have to go to Mojave sometime in the near future to do the final handoff and last minute training.

Thursday, well . . . looks like my iritis has made it into both eyes now. I had issues trying to focus on the monitors at work.

Friday, saw the doctor. He confirmed the iritis. I now have to put drops in both eyes. My vision is slightly cloudy, kinda like looking through light fog. Both eyes are also extremely light sensitive as well.

I am on call for Saturday. Good thing I only live eleven miles from work. We are upgrading one of the servers and need to do it when nobody is using it. This will be our only opportunity until September.
In a way, I am happy that I am far sided. Using the computer is bothering me a little, but watching TV and driving are okay.

WHEW! What a week!
