Responsibility

Wow! What a busy week this has been.

The week started off with a touch of the flu. I spent part of Sunday and all Monday in bed with full body aches. Although I only missed one day of work, it was as though I was off a week. So many things happened during my absence, mostly bad. The A/C unit in one of my server rooms failed yet again. This time, we had a third contractor take a look at the unit, and finally found the cause. I spent most of the day Thursday escorting the technician. Not the best use of my time, but necessary.

The new position at work has been providing me many challenges. I have just about finished turning over my areas to my replacement. I still have a few things to finish, but it should be done in the next few weeks. On top of everything, I have recently been put in charge of my first project. This is going to be quite a challenge for me. This will be a major learning experience since I have no management background whatsoever. I have already been scheduled to attend a few classes to help me learn project management, so there may be hope.

The weekend was spent relaxing.
