I was really kept busy this last week. Not too much happened, but was little that did was significant.
During the week, I was attending a Red Hat Linux system administration class (RH133). I am now responsible for several labs at work running Linux and needed to get up to speed on how to use it. On top of taking the class, I had an opportunity to take the RCHT (Red Hat Certified Technician) exam on the fifth day. Well . . . I aced it! Yep, 100% correct! Check it out!. I am planning on going the next step by the end of this year and earning my RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer), but I want to finish with my Solaris 10 certification first.
Saturday was about as busy as the rest of the week. Ellen and I went to Lancaster to visit my parents. We went to dinner with a few of my former coworkers from NASA for a little get-together.
After dinner, a few of us went to the Antelope Valley Independant Film Festival to view an entry of Doug Garvin, another former coworker from NASA. Doug has his own production company, Perfected Image Productions. Since his entry, "Baggage" was in the midnight category, we were up VERY late. We didn't get home until 4:00 in the morning!
Needless to say, we didn't do much Sunday.
