Computer Rebuild Time

Well, all great things come to an end . . .

My Windows system at home contracted something that caused it to continuously crash about fifteen seconds after booting. It has been over a year since I installed the OS so I figured it was time to rebuild. I installed XP Media Center Edition (no, I will not be a beta tester and install Vista). I was surprised with the XBox 360 and the Media Center connection. I recommend this. I have many movies on my system and I now have an easy way to watch them on my TV without having to connect my computer into my entertainment system.

My media for MacOSX 10.5 came in the mail yesterday, so I am also installing that as well. I am a little concerned about some of the bugs I have been reading about, but I am running it anyways. I don't keep valuable data on my computers. All my documents are kept on a NAS which in turn is backed-up to tape.

In my "spare" time, I am revisiting Halo and Halo 2. I can't believe Halo is just as fun now as it was when I first bought my XBox. It is fun to notice the differences.

I can't believe it is November already. I want to plan an off-road trip in Spring, which is rapidly arriving. I better get some preliminary plans together before I put it off until the last minute (odds are I will procrastinate).

  1. Hey! Don't put it off.

Lemme know when/where. I'll see if we can arrange our family to rendezvous and camp out for a night or two.

We still haven't had a chance to let the kids have a ride in the Hummer. They would be very excited (wild with enthusiasm) to take a ride out in the dirt somewhere.

    Maybe this is our chance?

Quall me. (As Ellen would say it) :-)
