Kitty Corn

I found out that my cat loves to eat corn tonight. This is yet another interesting food on her list, which includes the following:
* Artichokes
* Cantelope
* Peas
* Beef jerkey

I can't wait to clean the litter box tomorrow . . .

New Shoes

I put a new set of tires on the Hummer yesterday. I have had a plan for a while to get something more aggressive, but common sense got the best of me. I went with Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos. They have a good deep tread for off-roading, but still drive nice in the city.




I bought a set of stock rims I found on Craigslist for $300 about a month ago. Unfortunately, they did not come the the TPS (tire pressure sensor) modules, but I managed to pickup a set of four for only $120. I mounted the new tires on the extra set of rims to allow me to finish using the miles left on the old tires. They still have lots of tread for city driving.


I put a lot of work trying to get the old set to fit in the storage unit. With some effort and sweat, I managed to accomplish the task.


The day was wrapped-up with dinner on Redondo Pier and walk by the coast in Palos Verdes.

RRoD Found Me

I got a great birthday gift this weekend from Microsoft, a red ring of death on the XBox. I went ahead and bought a new one just because I didn't want to wait three weeks.

The new unit is kinda like the first one I had, 20GB drive, single controller w/headset, but also had an HDMI port. This means it has the new motherboard that is supposedly without the RRoD bug. WOOHOO!

I submitted a repair ticket with Microsoft and it looks like I can get it fixed for free since it is still in the three year period. WOOHOO again!

We had been talking about a second XBox for a while since Ellen and I want to both play online (Texas Hold'em and Uno), so I guess it will happen now.
