Turkey Day

Wow, the last couple of weeks have left me little time for entering a blog.

The Los Angeles area has been hit by some serious fires. Ellen and I were in no danger from losing our home, but the reality of the fires was clearly seen, even in Torrance. I left the Hummer parked outside only to have it covered in ash.

The following week, just before Thanksgiving, my brother and his family stopped by. I can't believe how much his two girls are growing!

Before I knew it, it was Thanksgiving. We decided to eat out this year instead of ripping hair out trying to prepare the perfect meal. Parker's Lighthouse in Long Beach served the perfect meal with a beautiful view. We had thee company of Ellen's parents and her niece.

I indulged myself a little bit this weekend by firing-off the Apple //gs. I had some issues getting the 80MB hard drive going (yes, I typed that correctly), but I eventually got System 6 installed and successfully booted-up. Ah . . . feel that retro goodness!

I also got the Hummer waxed this weekend. I was shocked to see most of the scratches gone. Good thing I am going back out to off-road in a couple weeks! It looks wrong having a Hummer all clean and sparkling.
