Breaking the Silence

It has been a while since I posted the happenings in my life. I finally feel like sitting down and telling all of you all about it!

Over the last couple of weeks, Ellen and I have swapped out the guest room with the computer room. In short, all the heavy things I own had to be dragged up the stairs. The first day of moving, I managed to get a lot of big stuff moved, including the desk and the futon. I had to take them apart, but still did it alone. The hardest things to move were the computer rack and the entertainment center. The rack is an old DEC rack from the eighties (steel, not aluminum). The entertainment center made it down the stairs just fine, but had to be slightly disassembled to make the corner into the downstairs room. Moving all my books up the stairs wore me out the most. We were both tired and beat, but managed to get it done without killing ourselves. Now our guests have a larger room to stay in when they visit.

I had to wait for Halo 3 until October 1st. All I can say is WOW! I am only the sixth mission right now, but I am so sucked into the plot. I am not planning on multiplayer until I complete the campaign. I have been taking my time. I always liked just walking around in Halo, taking in the sights. I even got to relive a redneck moment by tossing grenades in the water to go fishing. Good times!

A few days ago, I almost creamed-in a Toyota Prius that was stopped behind me in a parking lot. I took it as a sign that I need to put a camera on the back, so I went to Wal-Mart and found one for just under $100 and installed it today. It has a little interference being that it is wireless, for it is not bad for the price.

I guess that is all of the major happenings.

  1. Wow, sounds like you and Ellen have been busy! A camera on the back of the hummer sounds like a good idea. When I am driving the truck with a full load of hay and backing out of a walmart parking spot I always wish I had one.

I am just trying to stay alive in school and get some things done while looking for a job while I can't drive because I can't afford insurance. Its all a big loop that kills me...
