The Heat Continues

It looks like the whole US is suffering through a major heat wave. You all have my sympathy, especially those of you who live in New York. Holy crap . . . over 100 degrees! There are not many ways to get cool there. At least California has the cold beaches.

Ellen and I made yet another trip to Lancaster for the day on Saturday to visit my parents and sister. We took Ellen's car this time. The Solstice may be a fun car around town, but there is no way I am going to make any kind of a long trip again. The short wheel base hammered my belly. I kept having bad visions of Jello . . .

Sunday was spent moving our stuff in in storage to another storage place. We made three trips in the Hummer, moving only the things in the big Rubbermaid containers. I was really shocked with how much I could cram into that truck. The first load was mainly my "computer museum". Even with all that weight, the Hummer moved along like it normally does with little effort. I am really pleased with that little five cylinder, 3.5 liter engine. It was nice taking small loads like that, allowing us to have a breather between sessions, especially in the heat!

Now monday has come around and I am beat! My back is not as bad as I thought it would be. That new bed is really doing wonders. Maybe the old matress was causing issues . . . who knows? All the extra work we did sure increased my appetite at dinner (finished everything). But now, I am drained.

Is it five o' clock yet?
